Vesa Silver

Vesa Silver is a well-known stylist from Rauma, Western Finland. Fashion and creativity have always played a role in his life and he has been into creating his own creations since younger age.

“Creativity has always been important to me. But it was actually one of my teachers who supported me to pursue a career in fashion when I felt slightly hesitant about it. I’m really happy for that support as now I get to do what I love, to create.“

“After this meeting, I started doing things to pursue my goals such as interviewing people and meeting trend analysts”, Vesa says. This led to Vesa’s own fashion blog, which made him one of the first male fashion bloggers in Finland. This is a good story on how one encounter can change our lives.

After moving to Helsinki, Vesa started getting his dream jobs and one job led to another. Last year, he was part of a tour organized by Vila clothing brand where he was styling women around Finland. “The feeling of gratitude which was reflected on the women’s faces after I had styled them was great and touching”, Vesa says. “I believe that with small gestures you can achieve a lot as giving joy to others is really important. This can just mean being polite, opening doors or smiling to someone with an open heart.”

“My family is truly my biggest supporter and for that I’m sincerely grateful.” Friends have also helped throughout his career by introducing him to the right people and these encounters have led to meeting new customers. It hasn’t always been roses but the hard work has paid of and the mistakes have thought him a lot. “Be brave and try different things. And remember to be humble in everything you do. I believe it is one important quality to success.”

Vesa has a strong style that highlights his desire to create and that reflects to him as a person. He sees style as like an interpretation of your inner force. “Style comes from inside, from self confidence and wellbeing. It is important you can carry the clothes you wear. I like to have a sprinkle of silver in my style and Silver can never have enough silver!”
