Pipsa Hurmerinta

One of our campaign spokeswoman is the lovely Pipsa Hurmerinta. During the interview, we talked about her career, the importance of support and how to achieve your dreams. Many people know that Pipsa begun her career as a model, but 10 years ago she finished her modeling career to become a chef. Cooking has always been close to her heart and after a successful modeling career she wondered what she would like to do next in life.

“It is not important for me to make so-called five-year plans in life, but to take life as it is. Usually the current situation is a perfect place to be right now.”

We talked about support and its importance in personal and career life. “I have had many supporters and mentors in my career which I’m really grateful for.” Pipsa says. One huge thing was to get to be the Top Chef judge which would not have happened without the people who believed in her and supported her. She is also grateful for the support she has received from the model crowd towards her new career.

“Support has played an important role in my life and I believe that without support many of the things I have had the chance to experience might not have happened without it.”

Pipsa encourages people to listen to themselves and to trust their own abilities. “In today’s world it may sometimes be difficult to know what you want when everyone has an opinion on what you should do or should be. We should learn to trust that life will have our back. Especially when you’re young , you do not have to know what you want to do in life. Every experience is beneficial and your dreams may change many times. I for example have been lucky enough to already be in my third dream profession.”

“If you want to succeed you need to be curious but humble and really put your hands in the dirt. There are no easy tricks for succeeding. Have the courage to contact people you admire and ask them for advice or offer to work in the company that interests you.” Pipsa says.

She is looking forward to being a part of this campaign. “Im happy to take part in a campaign that does good for the benefit of others. Giving is also receiving.”
