Not that we needed one, but the headline last April from the World Health Organization was a wake-up call: air pollution is the single largest environmental health risk to the European continent, costing Europeans $1.6 trillion a year in the form of early deaths and disease.
To help raise awareness about this critical issue, LUMI will host a bicycle tour along the beautiful Helsinki coastline this Saturday, 12 September, as part of Helsinki Design Week 2015.

The ride will then continue along the Helsinki coastline, toward Jätkäsaari, with a brief pit-stop at Mattolaituri, where riders will have access to some mid-ride refreshments at discounted prices. The ride concludes at Helsinki Design Week’s main venue in Jätkäsaari, the L3 Design Dock, where the first 20 riders will receive free entry. Additionally, after the ride finishes in Jätkäsaari, riders may also return to Mattolaituri, to celebrate with a specially priced bottle of champagne or rosé.
So, join us this Saturday, 12 September at 12 o’clock, at our LUMI Supermarket Store, to help keep our city air clean!
